Codice Fiscale / Personal Tax Number
In Italy, the Codice Fiscale serves as a tax identification number used to identify citizens and residents in relation to Italian authorities and public institutions. It is used in various situations, such as:
- Registering with authorities regarding real estate
- Opening a bank account
- Paying taxes
- Accessing public services (e.g., healthcare)
- Employment contracts
Upon request, the document will be delivered to you within 5 business days.
Translation of Marriage Certificate
The translation of this document is required if you have decided to purchase property in Italy and are married. Based on this, the notary will establish the legal ownership relationship, either joint ownership or separate ownership.
If you wish to own the property without your spouse's share of ownership, this must be done before the notarial proceedings. You can request the change from joint ownership at the nearest court in your city. Otherwise, the property will belong to both partners.
Power of Attorney
A power of attorney for the given property can only be drafted upon your request by an Italian notary. If you wish to designate multiple individuals who can make modifications or be responsible for the property in your absence, you simply need to provide the personal details of the individual(s).
Example: A power of attorney is usually granted to a family member, descendant, or trusted person.
